Fashion's Night In

Following the success of Vogue's 'Fashion's Night Out' in September, those kind folk over at Vogue HQ have organised another fashion fantastic night with designer collaborations, goodie bags and loads of competitions. And you don't even have to leave the comfort of your sofa to take part! What better way to spend a cold November evening, than snuggled up away from the elements shopping for your favourite designers. On Monday, November 1st from 5pm until midnight,  Vogue will be hosting 'Fashion's Night In'  with live blogging throughout the night, telling you where to shop, where to win and where to snap up those one off designer collaborations. Amanda Wakely, Start London and Matches are just some of the retailers taking part. For more information and full list of retailers, check out http://www.vogue.co.uk/fashions-night-in/about/default.aspx. See you there!

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

We are over halfway through October and Breast Cancer Awareness month is in full force. More Fashion Retailers and Beauty Companies than ever before have jumped on board and are generously donating a percentage  of sales of specially chosen pink items to the worthy cause. A staggering 125 women are diagnosed with breast cancer in the UK every day, and female breast cancer incidence rates have increased by around 50% over the last twenty-five years. However, the news is not all doom and gloom. With improved research and early detection, more women are surviving breast cancer than ever before. Below is my pick of the prettiest pink purchases where a donation will  be given to breast cancer research. Yay! So girls, with just over a week left until the end of October, you know what to splurge your end of month pay cheque on. Hurry...
Patent Peeptoe Platform with Pink Lacquered Sole by Katia Loribbom

                        1) Katia Lombardo Patent Peeptoe Platform with Pink Lacquered Sole. My absolute favourite of the offerings. 1940'S style peep toe with a modern Barbie edge. And a whopping 20% donated to Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
 2) Keep cosy in this cashmere-blend pink coat from Coast @£180 and 10% going to Breakthrough Breast Cancer
. 3) Estee Lauder pink ribbon broach, £10 and it ALL goes to Breakthrough Breast Cancer. That's right readers, every penny.
4) Give your assets a lift in the Ultimo pink Icon Bra-£19 with 50p going to Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
 5) Marks and Spencer scarf £15 with 10% going to Breakthrough Breast Cancer. (I'll take one of these to wear with the Kate Lombardo peeptoes please).
6) Last but not least, Cadburys have released this limited addition flake, 5 cent of which will be donated to Action Breast Cancer. Sadly these are only available in Ireland. I think they're worth the trip though. How often does an opportunity arise to eat chocolate, look stylish and give to charity?

Camel Toe

As you can probably guess from the picture, I’m not referring to embarrassingly tight trousers, but the Christian Louboutin Décolleté 100 pumps in a cool shade of camel. The Décolleté 100 pumps, launched by Louboutin  in the 1990's are a perennial classic and has been one of the brand’s continuous bestsellers and one of the few styles that appear in every collection. And it’s not hard to see why. It would be difficult to find something these beauties can’t be worn with, be it smart office separates during the day or an LBD for cocktail hour. It tops my shoe list this season, blending perfectly with a/w’s return to paired down basic classic pieces that can be worn again and again. The exquisite craftsmanship of  Loubouitin turns the basic court into a lustful fashionista must have. £375, these babies aren’t cheap, but I can convince myself that they are what the fashion editors refer to as ‘an investment piece’ and hand over the plastic. For those that aren’t as weak willed and credit card ready, LK Bennett does a similar shoe for £140, without of course , the unbiqitous red sole.
